Great Second Amendment News: Colorado Senate Passes Legislation to Repeal Magazine Ban

April 19, 2016

The Colorado Senate has voted to repeal and lift its ban on limited magazine ammunition. On April 12, Senate Bill 113 was passed with a 20-13 vote in favor of repealing the ill-placed ban on magazine limits. The ban was originally created back in 2013 to put the limit of magazine ammunition at 15 rounds per magazine.

After the initial ban was put into law, many became frustrated such as Magpul, a firearms accessories company which had to move its company headquarters to Texas as a result of the magazine ban.

The bill can not be officially passed and put into law until the Colorado House makes a decision on repealing the ban. It would be a great win for all firearm enthusiasts and the Second Amendment if the bill were to pass in the Colorado House.

Organizations such as Rocky Mountain Gun Owners and the National Association for Gun Rights have put their full support into repealing the ban.
