Cpl. Robert Richards became famous for appearing in a graphic video of himself and his comrades urinating on dead Taliban troops in 2011.
Since then he has sought to explain his situation and the horrors of war.
But yesterday he was found dead in his home but it does not appear to have been suicide…was it murder?!
A sniper who was famously filmed urinating on the corpses of Taliban fighters in 2011 has been found dead in his North Carolina home.
Former Marine Corporal Robert Richards, 28, was reportedly found by his wife Raechel in their Jacksonville home on Wednesday night, and a friend has claimed it does not appear that he committed suicide.
The friend, attorney Guy Womack, added that a medical examiner is currently looking at the ex-Marine’s mix of medication, the Marine Corps Times reports.
Richards was one of four men who were filmed urinating on dead enemy soldiers in a video that caused outrage around the world when it surfaced online in January 2012.
