A US Marine Corps AV-8B Harrier jet from Marine Corps Air Station Yuma crashed into a residential area in Imperial, California near the US-Mexican border at around 1625 PDT Wednesday. The pilot ejected safely, and was taken to a local hospital for evaluation.
There was no report of civilian injury.
