Hollywood star Amy Adams bought a First Class ticket for a flight from Detroit to Los Angeles Thursday but didn’t use it … because she quietly gave up her first class seat to a soldier.
Adams, whose father was an Army officer, made no show of the move. “I didn’t do it for attention for myself. I did it for attention for the Troops,”Adams later told “Inside Edition” after landing at LAX. As TMZ reported,
Adams’ grand gesture was done on the DL, but it happened to be witnessed by ESPN’s Jemele Hill, who was seated a few rows in front of Adams.
Hill spotted Adams eyeing the soldier as she got on the plane and later saying something to the flight attendant. Before long, Hill noticed Adams was gone … and the soldier was in her place.
A young fan snapped a selfie with Adams and wrote, “Not the best picture of me but i just met Amy Adams on my flight to LAX, this is my claim to fame. #holys*** #selfies #amyadams #soexcited”
Adams will reprise her Man of Steel role as Lois Lane in the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, due to open in 2016.
