Michael Landsberry, 45, was shot and killed inside Sparks Middle School Monday morning as he tried to shield his students from the gunshots. Landsberry was a Marine veteran who served two tours in Afghanistan.
Landsberry leaves behind a wife and two stepdaughters. Two students were wounded by the gunman, who committed suicide at the scene. Both injured students are in stable condition.
Police have not released the identity of the gunman or a possible motive.
