Obama Group Invokes Navy Yard Shooting To Push Gun Control

September 20, 2013

The Navy Yard shooting in Washington this week was an unspeakable tragedy carried out by a deranged man using legal weapons.

However, Obama’s fundraising wing called Organizing For Action send out a major email blast invoking the deadly shooting to push gun-control and the administration’s large gun grab.

At the end of the email they even ask for donations!

Organizing for Action, the successor of Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign, sent out an email blast Thursday invoking the tragic shooting at Washington’s Navy Yard on Monday to urge for more gun control.

“If you’re like me, you heard the news about the 12 Americans who died in D.C.’s Navy Yard shooting — and you had those familiar feelings of grief and frustration,” the email begins. “It’s almost unbelievable: More than 8,259 Americans have died due to gun violence since Newtown.”

“As President Obama said, these events are too common. We all stand numb, trying to wrap our minds around another tragedy that breaks our hearts,” OFA’s executive director Jon Carson wrote. “Yet, even though 9 in ten Americans have said they support common-sense measures that would prevent gun violence, Congress has failed to act.”
