Recent Medal of Honor recipient Sgt. Ty Carter is a hero of the highest order. He has gone above and beyond the call of duty to a such a degree that he received the military’s highest honor. Now, Carter’s service continues as he tries to change the stigma of PTSD because as he says, it’s not a disorder.
“If you just call it stress, what it really is, it explains the fact that it’s a natural reaction to a traumatic experience,” Carter said. “It’s our body’s and mind’s natural reaction to try and remember and avoid those situations.”
