There has been a casualty in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, U.S. Central Command (CENCOM) has reported.
A U.S. service member died in a “non-combat related incident” in Kuwait on Wednesday, according to a press release from the Combined Joint Task Force Operation Inherent Resolve.
More information was not yet available, as the next of kind need to be notified.
It is Operation Inherent’s Resolve mission to destroy ISIS in Iraq and Syria.
The destruction of ISIS targets in Iraq and Syria also further limits the group’s ability to project terror and conduct external operations throughout the region and the rest of the world, task force officials said.
