Former Navy SEAL Now Missouri Governor Eric Greitens Takes Part In SWAT Team Competition

April 28, 2017

Missouri Governor and former Navy SEAL Eric Greitens took part in a SWAT team competition over the weekend.

Greitens was invited to compete in the Southeast Missouri SWAT Challenge with the St. Louis County SWAT team and officers from Missouri, Illinois, and Florida.

The event was held in honor of Washington County Deputy Chris Parsons who was killed on duty in 2012.

Greitens can be seen in the video blazing through the obstacle course even at the age of 43. Sometimes, he can be seen waiting for people in front of him to go before he can continue on.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to be here to honors Officer Parsons and all of the law enforcement officers who sacrifice so much for all of us,” Greitens told KFVS.

Other events at the competition included a simulated terrorist attack, an officer down situation and an active shooter situation.
