Her Majesty’s Armed Forces, aka British Armed Forces, are one of the finest fighting forces in the planet. One of the closest, if not the closest, American allies, they’re tasked with defending the country and its overseas territories and the Crown dependencies; as well as promoting the UK’s wider interests, supporting international peacekeeping efforts, and providing humanitarian aid.
The military of the United Kingdom is one of the oldest, most lethal, and better trained forces in the planet.
While the armed forces are expeditionary in nature, it maintains a core of “high readiness” forces trained and equipped to deploy on very short notice. This footage follows a squad of British soldiers on foot patrol through irrigated farmland who, soon after leaving their combat outpost, run into a firefight with Taliban insurgents. A video worth watching.
