In yet another batch of John Podesta’s emails released by Wikileaks, one in particular is catching the attention of the internet as it is one of the stranger insights into the personal life of the public figure. In an email from 2015, Serbian artist and New York resident, Marina Abramovic, reached out to Tony Podesta, John’s brother, about a “Spirit Cooking dinner” at her house and wanted to know if John and his wife were coming along as well.

On the June 28th email Abramovic wrote:
“Dear Tony,
I am so looking forward to the Spirit Cooking dinner at my place. Do you think you will be able to let me know if your brother is joining?
All my love, Marina”

To which Tony forwarded to John and added:
“Are you in NYC Thursday July 9
Marina wants you to come to dinner
Mary?”
The concept behind a “Spirit Dinner” has alarmed the masses following the Podesta Email saga with everyone wondering what in the world John Podesta was being invited to.
In a video showing Marina Abramovic, the performance artist whose work explores the relationship between the performer and the artist, “Spirit Cooking,” you can see her painting the recipe for these dinners on the wall with what appears to be congealed blood. One recipe she paints on the wall includes a mix of “fresh breast milk” and “fresh sperm.”
During an AMA or “Ask Me Anything” session on Reddit, Abramovic responds to a Reddit user telling them that things done in private are “not art.”
The Art Newspaper reported that Marina Abramovic supported Hillary by donating $2,700 to support her campaign.
Twitter Users have been very vocal about the spirit cooking, so much so that the hashtag “#SpiritCooking” was trending at the number one spot on Friday.
However, according to another email released last month, an exchange between John and his brother Tony shows John likely didn’t attend the dinner along with his brother. On July 10, one day after the dinner, Tony wrote to John:

Marina missed you
Tony”
