Election Day Fight: Pro-Hillary Male & Pro-Trump Woman Trade Punches & Pepper Spray

A fight broke out between a Hillary supporter and a Trump supporter in Jupiter, Florida today as people were at the polling station to cast their ballots. Hillary supporter Tom Garrecht and Trump supporter Donna Tatlici were involved in an altercation, with both sides offering a different story about who was the initial aggressor. Jupiter police are investigating the matter.

While handing out Trump literature at the polling station, Tatlici, 58, encountered Garrecht, 52, who saw the papers in her hand and said “I don’t need anyone to tell me who to vote for.”

“I’m not here to do that. I’m just here to give you the information,” Tatlici responded.

Tatlici said that after Garrecht was done voting, he exited the polling place and got too close for comfort, screaming curses right in her face. Tatlici says she warned Garrecht that she had pepper spray and she wasn’t afraid to use it. As the yelling between the two ensued Tatlici whipped out the pepper spray and sprayed it at Garrecht, leaving him unable to see. He then “put his hand on her shoulder” and “slammed her to the ground” and began punching.

“I couldn’t believe it,” Tatlici said. “I couldn’t believe someone would actually hit me. I was really upset.”

One witness said Garrecht was “up in her face like he was picking a fight.”

Garrecht told The Palm Beach Post that while knows he “shouldn’t have” he felt like Tatlici and other supporters were intimidating voters.
