BREAKING: Ohio State University Attack, 10 Rushed To Hospital, 1 Suspect Dead

[UPDATE: 1:00 P.M] Ten people were taken to a nearby hospital after an attack involving a knife and a car, officials said. One of the suspects was shot and killed, while another one was arrested.
Ten people were sent to the hospital with one of them in critical condition. The others were in stable condition. The university said in a statement that the injuries included stab wounds and being hit by a vehicle.
Jerry Kovacic, a student at the university told the school newspaper, The Lantern, that he saw a man drive into a crowd of people that were standing outside after a fire alarm went off.
[UPDATE: 12:00 P.M.] A suspect involved in the active shooter report is dead, a federal law enforcement official told CNN.
One of the eight people injured is in critical condition, Columbus Fire spokeswoman Rebecca Diehm said.
The lockdown and shelter in place memo was lifted at the school.
[UPDATE: 10:55 A.M.] Columbus Fire Department confirmed that at least eight people have been injured and transported since the active shooter was reported on campus. Two of them are stable and the status of the other five injuries are unknown.
The school’s newspaper, The Lantern, reported that a bomb squad and swat vans are present on campus. Police have formed a perimeter around North campus.
An active shooter has been reported on campus at Ohio State University Monday morning.
Ohio State University sent at 9:56 am saying, “Buckeye Alert: Active Shooter on campus. Run Hide Fight. Watts Hall. 19th and College.”
Watts Hall is the Material Science and Engineering building on campus.
People are told to shelter in place and avoid the area.
