First Hand Combat Footage Show U.S. Soldiers Ambushed By Taliban

This graphic combat footage is a sobering reminder of the risks that our service members take to protect our American Values and Freedoms. It contains shocking footage that may disturb sensitive viewers.

An American patrol is ambushed in the Kunar province of Afghanistan in 2010. A lead MRAP vehicle is struck by an RPG. A soldier named Troy Walsingham is seriously injured and sustains injuries that cause him to lose his right arm.

Another soldier, Justin Grier, is shot in the head. Thankfully, his helmet prevents him from sustaining any permanent or life ending injuries.  He sustains a serious concussion but survives the encounter.
