September 19, 2016

Apocalypse Now is a 1979 epic war adventure film set during the Vietnam War, produced and directed by Francis Ford Coppola and starring Marlon Brando, Robert Duvall, and Martin Sheen. The film follows the central character, Captain Benjamin L. Willard (Sheen), on a secret mission to assassinate Colonel Walter E. Kurtz (Brando), who is a renegade, and presumed insane.

The movie is considered to be one of the greatest films ever made. Named among the best pictures of all time, the film was selected in the year 2000 for preservation in the National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being “culturally, historically or aesthetically significant”. Here we bring you the Ride of the Valkyries, a helicopter scene that conveys the action and the overall quality of the movie in a single scene.
