Combat Footage Captures Heavy Firefights In The Constant Battle For Hill 45 During the Syrian Civil War
The Syrian civil war is a never-ending source of interesting facts and insane combat footage. Sometimes it feels as if no one involved wants this travesty of a war to end. Take the Latakia Offensive as an example. The Free Syrian Army together with the Islamic Front was able to storm the Hill 45, a strategic and important position, and clear it from Syrian Army troops during heavy clashes fighting and firefights on the Battle for Anfal Latika.
The interesting fact is that this was the second time during this offensive the hill had fallen into the hands of rebel forces after the Syrian Army was able to take it back from the Free Syrian Army just days before. Lose it, take it back, lose it again, to finally take it back and secure it. Hill 45 changes hands several times before being captured by Army Government forces in at attempt to stall further rebel advances and recapture all territory previously lost.
