Hours after FBI Director James Comey’s announcement, Trump said to his supporters at a North Carolina rally that this is the “best evidence ever that we’ve seen that our system is totally rigged.” “We have a rigged system, folks,” he added.
Comey said that Hillary Clinton was “extremely careless” in the way in which she handled classified information, where more than 30,000 emails were sent and received to her private email server.
“That’s a tremendous word,” Trump said regarding Comey’s remarks about how Clinton handled classified information. “It’s a tragedy. Because we’re a country of law. We’re a country of order,” Trump said. “Stupidity is not a reason that you’re going to be innocent.”
“She is laughing at the stupidity of our system. She is laughing and so is her husband, Bill, laughing at what’s going on because they’ve been there before,” Trump said of Hillary Clinton.
He said that while Clinton was serving as Secretary of State, she put “the entire country in danger.”
Throughout his speech, Donald Trump called Hillary Clinton “a criminal with a guilty conscience” and “one of the most crooked politicians in history.”
“Everybody thought based on what was being said she was guilty. She was guilty. And it turned out that we’re not going to press charges. It’s really amazing,” Trump said.
Trump also added that it was likely that Hillary Clinton’s private emails were hacked by foreign governments since there was little to no protection in her servers.
“Our enemies may have a blackmail file on Crooked Hillary,” Trump said. “This alone means she should not be allowed to serve as President of the United States.”
Trump then compared Hillary Clinton’s non indictment with other officials who mishandled classified information.
“Other people have been hurt by so much less than crooked Hillary Clinton,” Trump said. “Does that mean we [expunge] their record? Does that mean we have to exonerate everybody? Take back the punishment we gave them?,” Trump said.
“Hillary Clinton can’t keep her emails safe and you know what folks, she sure as hell can’t keep our country safe,” Trump added.
