(Video) Muslim Lawmaker Threatens Female Reporter With Rape To Her Face

May 02, 2016

Nazir Ahmad Hanafi, an Afghan parliamentarian does not take kindly to what a female reporters definition of rape is while in the midst of a discussion about violence against women.

The reporter, Isobel Yeung asks Hanafi “what if a husband rapes his wife? Is that domestic abuse? Should the man be punished or should the woman be punished?” Hanafi responds by asking the reporter to define rape.

The female reporter tells Hanafi that it is rape “if he forces sex upon his wife.” Hanafi takes great offense to the female reporters definition of rape and says “there is a kind of rape you have and another kind we have in Islam.”

Still angered by what the female reporter said to him, Hanafi begins to verbally attack her by saying “Maybe I should give you to an Afghan man to take your nose off,”

Then he says under his breath, “Hand her over to an Afghan man so he can give it to her so hard it’ll come out her nose.”

In a hadith from Allah prophet Muhammad, it reads “If a husband calls his wife to his bed and she refuses and causes him to sleep in anger, the angels will curse her till morning.”(Bukhari 4.54.460).

Hanafi claims that the video might have been manipulated and that he never had an interview with Yeung. Soon after, he retracted his initial statement and said that he did participate in the interview, but the video was skewed to make him look bad.

Here are her remarks afterwards:
