Thief Tries To Break Into Home Through Doggie Door – Gets Bullet In Face

A home intruder went on a rampage on Friday in a South Las Vegas neighborhood that ended with him catching a bullet in the face.

In a neighborhood near Cactus Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard just shortly after midnight a man holding a 12 inch knife tried to kick down the door of the home of Nicole Slokken.

After several attempts to kick the door down, he went on to the home next door. As he approached the home he attempted to go through the doggie door to gain access. Bad idea. The homeowner was armed and shot the man in the face.

Slokken told NBC News 3 Las Vegas:

“I think it was very brave. I’m glad he did it. It made me feel better — that he’s armed.”

According to reports, the intruder tried to get into three homes. Luckily for him, he survived the gunshot. Unluckily for him, he was patched up and thrown in jail.
