Carpet Cleaner Uses His Off Day To Do Something AMAZING For Vets

September 10, 2015

Andrew Lumish of Land ‘O Lakes, Florida is a self-employed carpet cleaner. On his off day he used to do something that he felt honored veterans that went unnoticed until now.

When Andrew has a day off he travels to local cemeteries to clean the grave stones of deceased vets. Using his craft, he helps preserve the limestone reminders of these heroes lives that have gone untouched for decades if not longer.

He had this to say to ABC’s Tampa affiliate:

“It’s something that I feel I should do to give them the proper respect for fighting for our country. And they may not any family still living…These aren’t just stones sitting in a cemetery in Florida. These are real people I think about their lives…I may be trespassing right, but it’s a good kind of trespassing.  And I’ll take that all day.”
