With the advent of social media and YouTube, cases of stolen valor are being exposed in viral fashion. From shopping malls to ceremonies, people pretending to be members of our armed forces are being called out as the frauds they are.
This fake Marine was attending the high school graduation of the daughter of his girlfriend in NoblesVille, Indiana when a true Marine and his father approached the man and began filming.
The girlfriend and her daughter’s faces were covered up for privacy. Sadly, the phony was using his fabricated military record to woo the woman into a relationship.
The Stolen Valor movement continues to grow and expose people who make up or embellish their military record.
