Marines with Company C, 1st Reconnaissance Battalion conducted a free-fall and static-line jump aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California on June 25, 2014. Marines jumped from CH-46 Sea Knights at approximately 10,000 feet for free-fall and approximately 2,000 feet during the static-line jumps. The training ensures the Marines are proficient with procedures while underneath the canopy.
