VA Full Of Corruption and Dishonesty
An internal audit of the Department of Veterans Affairs found corruption across the department, with official dishonesty found in the majority of facilities.
As the Washington Post put it,
The agency said more than 57,000 new patients have waited at least 90 days for their first appointments and that about 13 percent of VA schedulers indicated they were told to falsify appointment-request dates to give the impression that wait times were shorter than they really were.
The VA released the audit report on their website.
At least one instance of such practices was identified in 76 percent of VA facilities.
According to the audit,
Overall, 13 percent of scheduling staff interviewed indicated they received instruction (from supervisors or others) to enter in the “desired date” field a date different from the date the Veteran had requested. At least one instance of such practices was identified in 76 percent of VA facilities.
Here is a very good discussion of the issues on ‘The Willis Report’ between Jessie Jane Duff, Gunnery Sergeant USMC (Ret), FBN’s guest host, Cheryl Casone, and Author Stanley Hupfeld:
