Army Sgt Raymond Hubbard gave this heartfelt and emotional Memorial Day speech on May 26, 2008.
“The names of my fallen comrades can fall like tears from my own eyes.”
Hubbard served in Iraq starting in February, 2006. He survived a rocket attack in Baghdad that amputated his left leg and severed his carotid artery resulting in a stroke from blood loss.
The combat veteran spoke about his fallen comrades, his family’s military history, and what the nation needs to do for its soldiers. There was not a dry eye in the crowd.
