Whalberg SLAMS Cruise Over Military Comparison

Reports surfaced last week that Tom Cruise compared filming a movie to serving in Afghanistan. Bad move.

Mark Whalberg took issue with this bold statement by Cruise and went off!

“For actors to sit there and talk about ‘Oh I went to SEAL training,’ and I slept on the — I don’t give a f–k what you did,” he said. “You don’t do what these guys did. For your information – acting is nothing like fighting a war, and Mark Wahlberg can’t believe anyone would even make that comparison.

“For actors to sit there and talk about ‘Oh I went to SEAL training,’ and I slept on the — I don’t give a f–k what you did,” Wahlberg, 42, said Tuesday at the AFI Fest screening of his new movie “Lone Survivor,” according to The Wrap.

“You don’t do what these guys did. For somebody to sit there and say my job was as difficult as somebody in the military’s. How f–king dare you. While you sit in a makeup chair for two hours.”

The actor seemed to be indirectly addressing comments made by Tom Cruise, after legal papers revealed the “Valkyrie” star responded to a lawyer’s question comparing the extended time away from his daughter Suri while filming a movie to a soldier’s tour in Afghanistan.

Cruise, 51, said it felt like being away at war especially during his last movie, “Oblivion.” He also said working on the latest “Mission: Impossible” flick was like enduring Olympic training.
