Thanks to modern technology, PFC Colton Romney was able to watch the birth of his twins via Skype on his iPhone while on duty in Afghanistan. As the incredible moment was unfolding, one of his buddies captured the moment in a picture which was then sent to the local news station.
Here was what Romney had to say on Facebook: “I can’t believe this! I’m so shocked right now!! I don’t know how to thank everyone enough!! Words can’t express the way I feel right now!!”

A heartwarming photo of PFC Colton Romney watching the birth of his twin daughters via Skype has gone viral on Facebook.

A buddy of Romney, who is currently deployed to Afghanistan, snapped the photo while Romney watched his wife, Shannon, gave birth by C-section.
A nurse held the phone during the delivery.
The photo was posted online by ABC15 Arizona on September 19, and has been shared over 16,000 times and liked more than 17,000 times. The following message was posted along with the photo:
“LIKE to welcome PFC Colton Romney’s new daughters into the world!
The Mesa High alum is currently stationed in Afghanistan, and he just watched the birth of his twin daughters on his phone.
SHARE this photo to show your support for this new dad!”
Romney was surprised by all the attention, writing on his Facebook page, “I can’t believe this! I’m so shocked right now!! I don’t know how to thank everyone enough!! Words can’t express the way I feel right now!!”
